Fertilizer sales boost Carr’s results

STRONG SALES of fertilizers have helped lift profits at Carr's Industries, according to the interim management statement for the 19 weeks since the group's February 27 half-year results. The UK agriculture, food and engineering group said the strong financial performance for its third quarter was ahead of market expectations and will result in profitability for the full year well above last year. The best performing division was agriculture, particularly feed blocks and fertilizer.
