Archean ties up loan for SOP project

ARCHEAN CHEMICAL Industries Pvt Ltd, part of India’s Archean Group, has secured a Rs5.65 billion loan ($123 million) with a consortium of Indian banks for its chemicals plant project in Gujarat. The company plans to produce potassium sulphate as well as bromine, magnesium oxide and gypsum at the facility which will process waste bitterns left over from the production of salt from seawater.
