No fertilizer in tank explosion, fire

Bainbridge, Ga.—Emergency responders, along with Bain-bridge city officials and owner Liquid Transfer Terminal, have ruled out fertilizer as the cause of an explosion and fire at a million-gallon tankhere on Aug. 19. The explosion, which took the life of one worker who was reportedly welding on top of the tank, brought out emergency responders from a two-county area and prompted the evacuation of a dozen homes.
