SQM CEO out, new one in; three PotashCorp board members resign

It was a tumultuous time last week at Sociedad Quimica y Minera de Chile SA (SQM). With Chilean authorities targeting SQM management for campaign funding violations, CEO Patricio Contesse Gonzalez, who has been at the helm for 25 years, offered to resign and the board accepted March 16. The board then unanimously replaced him with Patricio de Solminihac Tampier, Contesse's chief deputy.
