Azerbaijan has stalled supply talks with Gazprom, owing to fears that Russian imports might damage the Eurasian state’s image as a major prospective supplier to Europe, sources have told Gas Matters Today. Experts also question whether Azerbaijan can maintain exports at current levels, let alone become a large-scale international exporter by the early 2020s.
