Statoil buys Lundin NCS assets

Norway’s Statoil has acquired 37,101,561 shares in Sweden’s Lundin Petroleum, which is around 11.93% of the shares and votes, for around US $539.8m (SEK 4.6 Bn). The investment in Lundin will boost Statoil’s indirect exposure to core assets on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS).
