BP unit Pan American Energy will invest US $1.4 B into exploring and producing from Argentina’s conventional and unconventional plays. The plan includes a $900m investment in Golfo San Jorge, mostly in the province of Chubut where it operates the country’s largest oil field, and $300m in the shale gas-rich province of Neuquen, the company said.
