Gazprom-Shell Baltic LNG MoU

Russia’s Gazprom and Anglo Dutch major Shell have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the construction of a LNG plant on the Russian coast of the Baltic Sea. Under the MoU, the companies will look into the possibilities of building the LNG plant in the port of Ust-Luga with an annual capacity of 10m tonnes. Gazprom has said the Baltic LNG plant could produce up to 20m tonnes per year.
