Unions have started talks with Norway’s industry body yesterday to achieve a new pay settlement for oil field service employees after negotiations for platform workers partially broke down last week. The Industri Energi and Safe unions that represent around 6,000 workers at companies like Halliburton and Schlumberger are set for three days of talks to reach a deal with Norwegian Oil & Gas (Norog).
