China field starts up

State-owned China National Offshore Oil Corp (CNOOC) has started producing from its Qikou 18-1 oil field adjustment project off eastern China. The operator is adding two production platforms and a processing facility to the shallow water field, which lies in the western part of the hydrocarbon-rich Bohai Bay.
