Eni’s Mozambique gas strike

Italy’s Eni has made a natural gas discovery in Area 4 in the Mamba Complex offshore Mozambique with the Coral 3 delineation well. “The new discovery confirm the potential of Area 4 operated by Eni at 75 Tcf (2.12 Tcf) of gas in place of which 27 Tcf (764.9 Bcm) exclusively located in Area 4,” said Eni. Coral 3 was drilled at a water depth of 6,677ft (2,035m) and reached a total depth of 17,291ft (5,270m). The well is located 5km south of Coral 1, 15km from Coral 2 and around 65km off the Cabo Delgado coast.
