Cote d’Ivoire discovery

France Total has made an oil discovery with the Ivoire-1X exploration well in the western part of Block CI-100 offshore Cote d’Ivoire. The well lies at a water depth of 7,481ft (2,280m) and encountered 92ft (28m) of net oil pay in a series of around 328ft (100m) of Cretaceous reservoirs. The oil in the abrupt margin geological play is light 35° API oil, said Total.
