Statoil Norway duster

Statoil’s exploration well on the Cerberus prospect in the mature North Sea offshore Norway has come up dry. The 30/9-25 well was drilled by Diamond Offshore’s semi-submersible Ocean Vanguard at a water depth of 328ft (100m). The probe lies 6km south of the Oseberg South field and found traces of petroleum in the targeted Tarbert, Heather and Draupne formations but has been classified as a duster, said the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate.
