US major Chevron has signed a charter deal with Norway’s Solstad Offshore to use the derrick lay barge Norce Endeavour on platform installation work in the Gulf of Thailand. The vessel will be used to install multiple wellhead platforms in the region in 2014, with optional work in the two subsequent years, and is expected to enjoy 60 to 100 days of annual utilisation under the contract, for which a value was not disclosed.
