Repsol sells $540m Chile asset

Spain's Repsol has agreed a deal with a consortium of Chilean investors for the sale of a 100% stake in Repsol Butano Chile for around US $540m. Repsol Butano Chile holds a 45% stake of Lipigas, a company active in the Chilean LPG commercialisation market, as well as other assets. The deal will generate a net capital gain of $170m and reduce the Repsol's debt by around $317m.
