Jakarta offers 19 blocks

Indonesia is gearing up to offer 19 exploration blocks in its latest licensing round, according to reports. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources issued a statement saying that Indonesia would offer the blocks to interested parties, of which 14 will be offered directly to operators, said the min- istry. The remaining five blocks would be offered via regular tenders. Of these, four blocks lie offshore - West Pelikan, East Sokang, South East Mangkalihat and East Aru - while the South Sampang Block has an onshore/offshore location.
