Banff woes curb CNR's output

Canadian Natural Resources (CNR) said its North Sea crude oil output averaged 26,769 b/d in Q$ 2011, which was down 16% on the same period in 2010, but up 2% compared to Q3 2011. CNR said the decrease from Q4 10 was a result of scheduled turnarounds and natural field declines. Production in 2012 is being hit by removal of the Banff Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel and damage to subsea infrastruc- ture suffered during severe storm conditions. CNR said: "The FPSO has been removed from the field and the extent of the damage including associated costs is being assessed.
