AWE has spudded the Atlas-1 exploration well in the Titan Production Sharing Contract in the off- shore East Java Basin, Indonesia. Atlas-1 is designed to test the gas potential of a carbonate reservoir sequence that, together with the nearby Lengo gas discovery, could contain up to 1 Tcf of recoverable sales gas.
