Barryroe shows strong oil flows

Providence Resources said today that its Barryroe well in the North Celtic Sea Basin, offshore south- ern Ireland, has flowed oil at rates in excess of 3,500 b/d. The 48/24-10z Barryroe appraisal well is located at a water depth of 328ft (100m) and lies 50km off- shore Ireland in Standard Exploration Licence 1/11 (SEL 1/11). Providence operates SEL 1/11 with an 80% stake, while Lansdowne Oil & Gas holds the remaining 20%.
