Gazprom swaps with Wintershall

Russia’s Gazprom has signed a framework agree-ment with Wintershall of the Netherland’s to swapSiberian assets for a stake in the German com-pany’s North Sea projects.Under the deal, Gazprom will get a 50% stake inWintershall’s North Sea operations, whileWintershall will take 25% plus one share in thedevelopment of two gas fields in the Urengoiregion of Siberia.
