As much as US $24.15 Bn is likely to be commit- ted to UK oil and gas projects this year, according to a report published by industry body UK Oil & Gas. At the launch of UK Oil & Gas’s 2010 economic report, economics director Mike Tholen said: “The industry has managed to cut its operating costs by 6% in the last year to $9.96 Bn, with unit oper- ating costs falling to $12 per barrel.
