State-owned Korea National Oil Corp (KNOC) has handed Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) a contract to build a newbuild semisubmersible rig that will work on the Zhambyl oil field in Kazakhstan. The work is valued at around US $200m, although neither KNOC and DSME have confirmed any contract value.
