Santos reports that its Burnside-1ST1 exploration well in the WA-281-P permit in the Browse Basin offshore Western Australia has encountered a 213ft (65m) gross gas column in the primary target Brewster sandstone. Burnside-1ST1 lies around 450km from Broome at a water depth of 705ft (215m).
