Gas price negotiations between Russia and Belarus have heated up, as Moscow doesn't want to reduce the price to the domestic market level and claims Belarus owes it $125 million for unpaid gas supplies in January-April. Experts believe that the dispute will be solved on political level, as is usually the case when it comes to Russian gas exports, with the Ukrainian scenario making gas supply cuts unlikely for Belarus, still Russia's key ally in the former Soviet Union.
