摘要

Royal Dutch Shell and BP have quietly secured three major upstream deals in Kuwait, industry sources tell International Oil Daily , signing contracts that were essential to give the Opec member a chance of boosting its production capacity by around one - third to 4 million barrels per day by 2020. Shell won two of the enhanced technical service agreements (ETSA) on the table: one for the Ratqa field, in the Lower Fars heavy oil reservoir, where it is to help expand production from 60,000 b/d to 120,000 b/d, and potentially to 270,000 b/d; and one for water management program at several onshore oil fields, which is also aimed at raising output.
