Ottawa Plans to Unveil National Carbon Price

Ottawa appears determined to unveil a national price on carbon this autumn, despite protests from some provincial governments that such a plan will harm their economies. Speaking on national television Sunday night, federal Environment Minister Catherine McKenna said Ottawa will impose a minimum carbon price on provinces that fail to come up with their own methods of combating climate change by imposing some sort of price on carbon.
