Shell Delays Abu Dhabi Project to Cut Costs

Royal Dutch Shell and Abu Dhabi National Oil Co. (Adnoc) are delaying the giant Bab sour gas development to try to reduce costs and help Shell rein in capital spending at a time of low oil prices. Shell planned to make a final investment decision (FID) on the 1 billion cubic foot per day Bab project in 2016, but it will not make a call on the scheme until 2017.
