Assessment Confirms Brazil's Huge Presalt Bounty

A new resource assessment indicates that the presalt region off Brazil's Atlantic coast holds well over 100 billion bbl of recoverable oil -- an endowment which "rivals that of leading oil resource countries." The assessment conducted by two scientists from Rio de Janeiro State University found that the region probably holds about 162 billion bbl of yet-to-find recoverable oil.
