Ukrainian authorities said on Tuesday that they hope to sign an operating agreement with US major Chevron for a major shale gas production sharing agreement (PSA). Dmitro Kashchuk, head of the state geological and mineral resources survey, said that the government had informed Chevron earlier this week that Kiev had carried out all preparations necessary to begin on-site work at the Olesska deposit and that Ukraine was now expecting to sign an operating agreement with the US major.
