Bashneft Set to Start Iraq Seismic

Russia's Bashneft is preparing to start work in Iraq's Block 12--which it won in 2012--in line with the terms agreed with Baghdad. Iraq's Block 12 is one of only two foreign projects in which Bashneft is involved, including its recently secured production sharing contract for Block EP-4 onshore Myanmar. In an interview with sister publication Nefte Compass, Bashneft's first vice president for exploration and production, Mikhail Stavsky, said that seismic work on Block 12 should start this winter.
