South Korea's March imports of LNG soared by 19.5% to 4.17 million tons from a year ago despite reaching the end of the winter demand season. This was driven mainly by higher Qatari imports which more than doubled to 1.82 million tons from 724,000 tons last year. The increase was, however, modest on a month-to-month basis at just 0.7% from February (IOD Mar.18'13).
