Gazprom Exec Foresees Expansion of Sakhalin-2 LNG

Gazprom is expected to take a positive decision on expansion of the Sakhalin-2 LNG plant in Russia's Far East, according to the gas giant's deputy chief executive, Alexander Medvedev. The plan calling for construction of a new 5 million metric tons a year third train would need resources from the Sakhalin-3 contracted area that until now Gazprom had refused to allocate for the project.
