Total's Norvarg gas discovery in the Barents Sea could be smaller than previously thought, Det Norske, a partner in production license 535 said on Wednesday based on new drilling results. The objective of the 7225/3-2 appraisal well was to evaluate the reservoir quality and productivity of the Kobbe formation, which yielded the Norvarg gas discovery (IOD Apr.25'13). It also tested the potential of the eastern part the Norvarg structure.
