Yemen Mulls New Pipeline to Facilitate Exports

With more than 100,000 barrels per day of Yemen's total crude oil output of 260,000 b/d shut in for the past six months, the Yemeni government and foreign operating companies affected by the outage have been exploring alternative export options. One plan currently under discussion entails building a new pipeline from the Marib region in western Yemen that would connect to a pipeline in the south which is operating well below capacity.
