Market Eye: Saudi Prices Could Boost Murban Demand

Saudi Aramco cut its formula prices for most of its crude exports into the Asia-Pacific, with the exception of Arab Super Light, which bucked the trend with a slight increase. The declines were mostly in line with expectations of Asian traders. However, a few market players anticipated Arab Light and Arab Extra Light prices to fall more than they did, and said the new levels are likely to boost the competitiveness of key light, sour Murban crude from Abu Dhabi.
