Iraqi Exports Rise As Output Exceeds 3 Million b/d

Driven by the Apr. 20 start-up of a second single-point mooring (SPM) export facility off Basrah, Iraq's total crude oil exports averaged over 2.5 million barrels per day last month, and total crude oil output breached the long-promised 3 million b/d mark. Exports from the south -- from the Basrah Oil Terminal, the Khor al-Amaya terminal and the two SPMs -- came in at a calculated 2.177 million b/d (IOD Apr.23'12).
