Marathon Expands Polish Acreage

US integrated oil company Marathon said it more than doubled its acreage in Poland that is prospective for shale gas in 2010, bringing its total holdings to more than two million acres. In 2009 and Jan. 2010, Marathon gained 100% operating stakes in three concessions totaling 814,000 net acres.
