German turbine-maker Siemens has inked a ?700 million ($1 billion) deal to supply 108 3.6 MW turbines to Spain's Iberdrola and Denmark's Dong Energy for the 389 MW West of Duddon Sands offshore wind project in the Irish Sea. Iberdrola Renovables, the green arm of Iberdrola -which owns UK utility Scottish Power -said this is the biggest turbine order placed by the Spanish utility.
