China's refinery throughput in August averaged 36.78 million tons, or 8.66 million b/d, according to output data released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Friday. This is the lowest level since September last year and is down 2.3% versus July's throughput of 8.86 million b/d — although it is an increase of 4.5% over the same period in 2010.
