Russian pipeline monopoly Transneft is looking for ways to cut costs by 10% in line with demands outlined recently by President Dmitry Medvedev to improve the country's investment climate. Speaking at a meeting of his modernization commission earlier this month, Medvedev urged monopolies, including Transneft and Gazprom, to cut their costs by at least 10% per year over the next three years.
