Germany's Wintershall will continue to seek upstream projects in the Middle East and North Africa, despite the political turmoil sweeping the region. "We are staying in the Middle East and continue to vigorously pursue our exploration and production projects," Wintershall Chief Executive Rainer Seele said Thursday. The company, which suspended oil production in Libya in late February on safety grounds, said it is monitoring developments "with great concern" and may resume work swiftly if the situation improves.
