Japan’s onshore oil product stocks stood at83.67 million bbl in the week to Sep. 10, es-sentially unchanged from the week before,according to data released Wednesday bytrade group Petroleum Association of Japan.Gains in gasoline, naphtha and kerosenewere offset by drops in fuel oil, gasoil andjet. The fall in jet stocks was partly due to areduction in jet output from refineries,which tumbled 43% week-on-week to157,700 b/d. The drop in gasoil inventorieswas likely because of higher exports. Gasoilexports leapt 91% to 302,400 b/d to accountfor more than half of the export total. Refin-ers are also building up kerosene stocks inpreparation for winter heating.
