Kuwait Opens New Shell Probe

Kuwaiti Oil Minister Mohammed al-Bu-sairi says the Supreme Petroleum Council has set up a committee to examine the $800 million contract awarded to Royal Dutch Shell to develop nonassociated gas from fields in the north, following the launch of a parliamentary investigation (IOD Aug.18'11). The committee will have three months to report back, according to the official Kuwait News Agency, and will "review all aspects of the agreement."
