Almost all of Yemen's oil production is likely off line after a strike disrupted output from major fields in the eastern Masila basin, Canada's Nexen said Monday. More than onethird of the country's 250,000-270,000 b/d output has been shut in since March due to a sabotaged pipeline in Marib (IOD May 5,p6). Nexen, which is the country's largest foreign oil producer, advises that "production has been temporarily shut in and operations suspended in Yemen as a result of a strike by members of the Masila Labour Union."
