Shell Ships First Pearl Cargo

Royal Dutch Shell announced Monday the first commercial shipment from its flagship Pearl gas-to-liquids (GTL) plant in Qatar. This first cargo, of gasoil manufactured from natural gas, marks the start of production at Pearl, which is set to be the world's largest GTL complex when it reaches full capacity in mid-2012. Shell said the cargo is destined for Europe.
