Norway appointed Ola Borten Moe as the country's new minister of petroleum and energy following the resignation of Terje Riis-Johansen, who stepped down last week after three years in the top oil job. Norway Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg is said to have accepted Center Party member Riis-Johansen's resignation amid growing criticism over controversial issues such as his proposal to install overhead power lines across one of Norway's most scenic fjords in the west - needed to supply the country's second-largest city, Bergen - and delays to a carbon capture and storage (CCS) scheme at state Statoil's Mongstad oil refinery.
