China is considering changing the way re- fined products are priced to give state refiners more freedom to set their own prices. The China Securities Journal reported on Friday that a draft amendment to the exist- ing pricing regime has been submitted to the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), which could allow the country's three state energy giants — Sinopec, PetroChina and China National Offshore Oil Corp. (CNOOC) — to adjust retail prices of gasoline and gasoil "automat- ically." That would enable them to make price adjustments without first having to get approval from the NDRC.
