Japan's tax commission is planning to intro- duce an environmental tax next October as a move to help the country cut carbon emis- sions, according to local newspaper Nikkei. The commission will call for a gradual in- crease over four years in the green tax on fu- els that will raise around 240 billion yen ($2.87 billion) in revenues.
