Crude oil exports from the Chevron-operated Tengiz field in Kazakhstan through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline have dried up because of a row over fees incurred during the first leg of the journey, from the field to Azerbaijan. Industry sources say the issue concerns "fees or taxation issues" over the rail section of the route, "which is mainly across Azerbaijan."
