Lithuania's Mazeikiu Nafta (MN), the sole refiner in the Baltic states, said net profits in the first half of 2009 were almost four times down on a year earlier due to weak demand and lower refining margins. The oil complex, majority owned by Polish refiner PKN Orlen, reported consolidated net profit of 72 million litas ($29.8 million) between January and June, compared with 280 million litas in the same year-earlier period.
